Break It!

If you’re like me and love what you do, you may sometimes forget to take a break from it. I’m talking about a real disconnect, not just Picture1working from a different location. Leaving your work behind has so many benefits that you can’t afford not to do it.

The specifics:

  • What? Not an afternoon off, a real vacation – at least 4 or 5 days.
  •  Why? Your body, mind and spirit need time unplugged to rest, rejuvenate and reset.
  • Who? Go with someone you enjoy being with like your family or BFF.
  • When? An annual vacation isn’t enough! You need several breaks throughout the year; as in 3 to 6 times a year.
  • How? It takes planning, but it is so worth it. Make this a priority.
  • Where? Go someplace you love; someplace that nourishes your soul.

I spent the Veteran’s Day weekend in San Diego in a condo on the beach with a dear friend. It was heavenly being away from the office, the computers, and even my home which I love.

I hope you “break it” soon. I’d love to hear all about it.
