Do You Blog?

Marketing experts say many companies have increased their sales by 1/3 by doing just one thing well: blogging. We started a blog in April 2010 and have posted to it twice a week with Biz-Tips and other things I’ve written.

Until I met Amanda Collins of The Grammar Doctors, I didn’t have a strategy behind it.  Amanda gave me some great suggestions:

  • Divide your expertise into 4 or 5 areas topics. For Biz-Tips our 5 areas are Communications, Leadership, Marketing, Personal Growth and Miscellaneous.
  • Set a schedule to work your way through the topics and then start through it again. Show off your expertise.
  • Don’t limit your blogging to your own blog, visit other blogs. Share your option or expertise when you can.

What topics could you blog about? We’re starting to do accounting posts to our blog, but we won’t send them as Biz-Tips. If you’d like to receive them, subscribe to our blog.
