Don’t Do It! Delegate It!

Part of my administrative assistant’s job description is to figure out what I am doing that she can do for me. Doing anything administrative is not the highest and best use of my time. But if I’m not careful, I find myself slipping back into it. So I regularly review my “Have Holly Do It” list to see if there are things to add to it.

Here are some guidelines. Delegate it if:

  • It’s something you do repeatedly (even if you do it infrequently)
  • It’s something that you aren’t good at
  • It’s something that you don’t like to do
