Is There More You Could Offer?

Over the years we have found that listening to our clients is the easiest way to expand our service offerings. Our clients will tell us what they want and need. When we can provide those services while still staying in our core competencies, we have a win-win solution! Here are a couple of examples:

  • Your Virtual Accounting Office was created when clients wanted to know if besides paying their bills and doing financial statements we could invoice their customers and have their customers pay to our PO Box. We can do that!
  • Our electronic mail forwarding service was created when a client went to the beach in Virginia. Since we always convert all mail to electronic medium and could easily email their first class mail to them, we can do that!

What are your clients asking for? Listen, learn and grow!

  1. Excellent idea. Once you have earned the trust and confidence of your client, they are more open to having additional products and services being provided to them. It’s how we have come to expand some of our offerings as well.

  2. I completely agree with your “Is there more you could offer?” post. Listening to our target market is a vital part of growing our business and keeping things interesting. It does, however, require some intial evaluation before taking “the plunge”.

Sometimes we can start immediately offering that service, as we already have the necessary skills. Other times we may need to educate ourselves before offering those services. Plus there are always those services, for me it’s web design or bookkeeping, that I know I have no desire to learn and know other business owners who could offer that service so much better than I could ever hope to! Hence the importance of a referral system.

  3. Qixcqt That’s really thinking out of the box. Thanks!
