Being physically fit is something that every entrepreneur should strive for, but you also need to make sure the business itself is FIT. What business fitnessdoes that mean?

In our virtual accounting business being FIT means:

  • F – Focus on results. Don’t be shortsighted and grab for the first, closest or easiest solution to a project. Think long term and pull out your business plan if you’re concerned that you’re getting off track.
  • I – Intense in follow through and completion of tasks. Be direct in the intensity with which you deal with your clients and also be intensely passionate about the work itself.
  • T – Timing counts. Being focused and growing your business will take time. If you’re not prepared to put in the time it takes to ride out the waves of success and the dips of failure, then maybe being a business owner might not be in your DNA.

What can you do today to make sure your business practices are FIT?
