Looking Backward and Forward

As the year is coming to a close it’s the perfect time to evaluate how it went. Investing some time now will no doubt be enlightening Picture1and could make a significant difference in how next year goes. You might find that you accomplished a lot more than you thought. Tools you’ll need for this exercise include your calendar, financial statements, and your sales records.

Looking backward, ask:

  • What went well?
  • What didn’t go so well?
  • Why changes need to be made?

Looking forward, ask:

  • What potential opportunities do I have?
  • What new resources are available to me?
  • What obstacles can I eliminate?

You can do this exercise for both your business and personal life. Make the coming year one of growth and improvement in them both.
