No!

“No” is a complete sentence. It doesn’t require an explanation. It doesn’t require rationalization.

So often we waste time and energy trying to figure out how to avoid things we don’t want to do, shouldPicture7n’t be doing, or aren’t called to do. Instead of being decisive, we play games and spend time telling stories. Really, what part of “no” could people not understand?

Resolve this year to be more decisive. If you mean no, say “No!” If you think saying “No” is too harsh, try “No, thank you!” It’s a kinder and gentler version, but it still means no!
