Rushed and frazzled? Breathe!

There is an amazing and quick way to clear your mind when you get harried and frazzled. I learned it in a yoga class and it never fails to help me. You can even do it when you’re stuck in traffic! It’s so simple.

Use your right hand. Put your thumb against the right side of your nose using enough pressure to block the passage. Breathe in slowly and deeply. Hold your breath while you release the right side and, using your ring finger to block the left side of your nose, breathe out slowly and fully. Repeat two to four times. It provides an infusion of oxygen for your brain. You will find that your mind clears, your blood pressure drops, and your shoulders relax.

The breath of life: Enjoy!
