Are You Running on Empty?

Are you giving yourself what you need to operate at your best? If your body or spirit needs something to function well, get it. It would be unwise to deprive yourself of something you need. That would be the equivalent of expecting your car to run without gasoline.

Make sure you have these fuels:

  • Sleep – Studies show that consistently getting less than 6 hours of sleep per night will make you sleep deprived. No one can function well business fuel then.
  • Nourishment – Notice I didn’t say food. Sometimes food isn’t nourishing. Junk food is not what you need; nourishing food is the fuel your body needs.
  • Water – Proper hydration is vital to a well-functioning body and a well-functioning mind. When you’re tired or you have a headache, you might just be dehydrated.

If you’re ignoring one or more of these key fuels, I hope you’ll consider this a wake-up call and you will take action to take care of you. Only you can take care of you!
