If you’re a small business owner, now is the time to evaluate your progress towards your annual goals and form a strategic plan for the remaining months of the year.

Whether you take a few hours, a half-day, or a full day away from the office, here are some areas of your business you may want to look at:marketing goals

  • Your marketing plans: Do they need to be adjusted?
  • Generating business leads: Are you getting too few or too many?
  • Following up on leads: Is this process working smoothly and yielding results?
  • Clean up any outstanding administrative tasks: I have a wonderful administrative assistant who does this for me!
  • Update your systems and processes: What have you changed this year? Is it documented?
  • Update your website, if necessary.
  • Create a networking plan for the remainder of the year
  • Know your income tax situation. Give current financial statements along with an estimate your income and expenses for the balance of the year to your CPA to review your tax picture. Most adjustments you can only make in this calendar year.

How often do you “check in with yourself” and review your goals and business strategies?
