Intention vs Attention

Call them goals or call them intentions, most of us started off the year hoping and  planning things would be different / better this year. That we would be better at __________________ (you fill in the blank). We’re more than three weeks into the year; as Dr. Phil says, “How’s that working out for you?”

If it’s not working, did you just set an intention without giving it your attention? Goals or intentions without a plan are just dreams and wishes.business intention

Give this a try:

  • Break your intention down into bite-size pieces. Determine the steps you’ll need to take to make it a reality.
  • Set benchmarks and deadlines. Redoing your marketing plan is a good goal, but you’re not going to get it done in one shot. The same goes for losing 10 pounds.
  • Schedule something each week to make your intention a reality. Put it on your calendar and treat it as a meeting. It can be just 5 minutes, but progress is progress and it will eventually get you there.

This is something almost all of us struggle with so know that you’re not alone. If you’ve discovered things that help you, share them here.
