I have a very painful paper cut on a knuckle today. I have no idea where it came from. Well, probably from a piece of paper, duh! Since Picture5our virtual accounting office is paperless, there aren’t too many pages floating around here and I try to avoid them whenever possible.

Here are some tips to help us all do that:

  • OHIO:  not the state, the letters – Only Handle It Once
  • FAT:  File it, Act on it, or Toss it
  • Go green:  join us and forego paper for digital

Paperless can really be painless in more ways than one. With our system I can locate any properly filed document in less than 15 seconds. “Properly filed” is the important part. Remember: the purpose of filing something isn’t to file it; the purpose of filing something is to be able to retrieve it.

Here’s to no more paper cuts!
