What’s Your Auto-Pilot?

Picture1Every one of us has our own routine. It’s what we do automatically without even thinking about it. Sometimes it’s our actions on auto-pilot and sometimes it’s our thoughts.

To find out your auto-pilot, try this:

  • Complete this statement: It’s just like me to….
  • Try this for different areas of your life: work, food/health/exercise, relationships, time usage, etc.
  • Evaluate the outcomes of your auto-pilot activities: Are they helpful or harmful?

These insights are valuable. Knowing what you do unconsciously can help you make adjustments that will give you a better outcome. The first step to change is awareness. Know yourself and use that knowledge to improve yourself.
