If you’re like me, you have a myriad of things on your to-do list today. We could both spend our entire day returning emails, making phone calls, filing papers, reading business books and magazines, and making that to-do list. Before you do any of that, ask yourself: Where are you closest to the money? What can you do right now that will make your business grow today? Then do that! Let everything else wait.

Excuse me, I have to go now. I talked with 4 business owners yesterday who want to schedule a complimentary 30 minute strategy session with me to discuss their accounting situation. Scheduling those calls is where I am closest to the money!

  1. I am closest to the money after it is agreed that the 30 minute freebee turns into an interested client. For every 10 freebees I anticipate getting 3 quality new clients, 3 others that will be gone when someone offers them a cheaper deal, and several 1 time because I’m available.
